Dear Members of the Class of 1956,

Since I graduated from high school, I have had an extremely fulfilling life.  I have three successful daughters and six outstanding grandchildren.  In 1973, I moved to Denver, Colorado.  What a joy!  I became a business woman, traveled the world, flew solo in a Cessna 172, and was mayor of my town.  I also tap danced in competitions in Las Vegas for 10 years.  I was widowed in 1998 and retired to enjoy life alone, however, I did not like retirement, so I then worked for Wells Fargo Advisers full-time for 19 years.  (NOT WELLS FARGO BANK!)  In 2000, I met my significant other, and enjoyed life with him until he passed away in 2015.  Currently, I am volunteering three days a week for the Courageous Faces Foundation, helping people with various disabilities improve their quality of life.  My greatest joy is spending time with my family and friends.  At 80 years old, I have been truly blessed!

Thank you, Stan!  I look forward to seeing you,

DeDe Sherman/Elaine Sorkin
